What if the monsters had fatalities?

Wishful thinking.

Examples:
Godzilla
-Incinerates opponent with supercharged inferno ray.
-Grabs opponent by tail and repeatedly slams them on the ground to a bloody mess.
-Summons a nuclear pulse that destroys the other monster and everything else in a five mile radius.
Anguirus
-Disembowels an opponent after ramming his horn into their stomach.
King Kong
-The jaw snap. Self-explanatory.
-Kong grabs the lips of the opponent and rips off their skin.
-Use one hand to strangle enemy, the other to gouge out their eyes.
Baragon
-Digs a hole under the opponent, drags them in and devours them, spitting meat and bone out. He rises up, licking his lips.
Gorosaurus
-Delivers a Kangaroo Kick with such velocity that the opponent's torso goes flying.
Utsuno Ikusagami
-Raises his sword to the sky, summoning a ray of light to come down and fry the enemy.
Gigan
-Spins around in a tornado torwards the enemy. You know what happens next.
-Slices the opponent. After a momentary pause, the fall into ribbons.
Mekanikong
-Drops a grenade down the opponents throat.

Titanosaurus - Bites onto the opponent's mouth. Then he punches their body up into the air so hard that their neck snaps.

SpaceGodzilla - Summons a crystal spike directly underneath the opponent and shoots it upward ...

Destoroyah - Breaks up into a swarm of microscopic crabs and flies into the opponent's mouth. Seconds later, the opponent deterierates in an oozing, bloody fashion until only the bones are left.

Maguma - Maguma karate chops the opponent's head in half and takes out a trophy. He then says, "And the award goes to..." and plants the trophy in between the two chopped halves of the opponent's head.

Minya: Gets pissed and fires an atomic ray so powerful it explodes his opponent's head. Minya turns to the camera, blinks, shrugs, and wanders off.

I like the idea of showy, signature finishing moves, but I don't think I'd want them to be super gory ala MK fatalities. I just don't think it'd fit the mood for a Godzilla game. Now a Gamera game...

I don't think I would like it if the monsters had fatalities. The movies are really never that violent, and I can never imagine an M-rated Godzilla game.

I think it might work better if they ever made a Gamera fighting game.

Well, plenty of other fighters like Street Fighter and Soul Calibur have special moves meant to be the "finishing blow" so they don't have to be gory just as long as there eye candy meant to end the fight in a cool way as oppsosed to just lightly tapping the monster on the shoulder when it only has a sliver of health.

It's obvious there won't be a Godzilla game for a while now, so I'm pretty sure this is just a "for fun" topic. Nothing wrong with playing along for the sheer hell of it.

The gorier and more ridiculous the fatality, the more entertaining, as MK demonstrates.

Well I'm all for blood, it's not like we never got gore in Godzilla films its more...uncommon is all. I'm a fan of both MK and Godzilla but I'm all for a bloody Godzilla game as long as it isn't like MK or M rated. it should be a hard T at most.

Oh I wouldn't even want a Godzilla game to go hard T. Godzilla's films were, in general, meant for multiple audiences. His games shouldn't be any different unless the franchise was somehow way more popular and well-known (and therefore new ideas would be more acceptable).

But, again, I'm pretty sure this thread was made for good, bored fun.

Well, with LPG coming, a new Godzilla game not be so ridiculous of an idea...

If they made fatalities that copied finishing moves from the movies (like Godzilla biting Anguirus's neck in Godzilla Raids Again) that would be pretty cool.

This.

I'm up for finishing move but only if it's something they actually would do or have done. Not something to intense like in MK. Remember Godzilla can be dark at times but kids also watch his movies too so not too dark.

Now that I think of it, ripping of Ebirah's claw then playing with it would be a great fatality. :)

It's not really a fatality if no one died. It's more of a mutilation.

Would Toho even allow the monsters to perform finishing moves on other monsters?
Believe it or not, George isn’t at home.

Kiryu's would be self-explanitory.

Biollante could use the sap spray to corrode the opponent to a skeleton (ref: the 1986 remake of the Fly) or just impale and devour the opponent. One bite and swallow.

MG 74/75 would just blow the shit out of the opponent until nothing but a charred bit of debris was standing.

I'm sure Ghidorah would also be extremely savage.

I honestly do not remember Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters having finishers at all. If you're referring to the special moves that you could perform when your super meter was filled up, then I apologize but I'm talking about fatalities like in Mortal Kombat. I just honestly cannot see Toho allowing that in a Godzilla game especially if the game would probably end up being M rated. I mean, they would probably allow a little bit of blood like in T rated video games but nothing like Mortal Kombat.

I thought those where finishers. I doubt giving monsters finishers would raise the rating to M I think M rating's only apply to people gore not monster gore and you don't have to make it gory to be a finisher. Hell Godzilla's had several finishers in the movies especially the Heisei.

True, you don't have to make it gory for it to be a finisher. Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe did it but that was because of DC Comics not wanting their characters killed in that fashion. I also believe ClayFighter 63⅓ did it too because they had the Claytalities (parody of fatalities) and the game had no blood as far as I remember. But when most people think of finishers, they think of Mortal Kombat with the blood and gore. I'm also not too sure about the M rating as well but I think it applies to monster gore as well. I also haven't really watched a Heisei film from beginning to end, only like halfway and stuff like that so I can't really say about Godzilla's finishers.
