Well, I really like Krystalak and would love to see him duke it out with the big G on the big screen.

I like both Obsidus and Krystalak. But they are not fit in anyway to be in a Godzilla film. Having a video game character in a G movie? That's not right. Plus both weren't characters under Toho so I wouldn't want to see either in a movie.

Anywho, that might be interesting if those two were in their own movie(s).

What are you talking about Toho approved of there creation, and they have there license rights to them. Plus a video game character is still a character.

I wouldnt mind seeing Obsidious as a secondary antagonist, but krystalak kind of sucks. He always reminded me of Zilla, even though they dont really look to similar.

^ Great response to the thread...

I wouldn't mind seeing either of them in a movie, maybe with a similar origin as in the game where they are born from SpaceGodzilla's crystals, They could play the role of intro monsters for Godzilla to kill as the movie progresses and before he fights the main bad guy. Also, that would give them more credibility than just being characters created solely for a video game.

But I like them better in a game than a movie.

I say give the freaks a chance in a movie. While I don't either one is leading daikaiju, or have the capital to be the Big Bad of a Godzilla flick. Both Obsideous and Krystalak are decent creations. Although of the two Obsideous is a wee bit on the generic side, his earlier "Magmouth" design was a step up before the final touches were put upon him. Krystalak I like because he reminds me a bit of the old Spawn foe the Violator(not to be confused with Micheal Jackson). With his rather thin frame Krystalak sort've strikes me as a stalk and slash opponent, and if in a future flick, or if IDW gets him. The daikaiju could be sort've a minion, precursor to the arrival of SpaceGodzilla. Although, if th choice was mine, I'd be more likely to pull some of the daikaiju Toho introduced in the Godzilla Trading Card Battle PS game back in '98, 99. Guys like Jyuarmu, Balkzardan, Razin, Shiigon, Barugaron, and Vagonosaurus I think would be quite the hit with the audiences.

Well, I've known of them for years and years and I've actually played the game a few times. They're definitely interesting monsters and they're Japanese in origin (which doesn't matter one bit to me, but I know there's many here for whom that's just about all the matters) but they have one pretty big issue for me...

...their designs look very conspicuous and incongruous when lined up next to the Toho kaiju. They look interesting but they also look too...cartoonish and flamboyant for me to picture in a Toho Godzilla film. Maybe Gamera? ;)

Almost everyone's saying that Krystalak and Obsidious would look like shit on film, yet, if Hedorah, Gigan, or Megalon were the monsters in question, they'd say the same thing d:

Hmm, I kinda wished the Visitor was one of the new monsters. It wasn't the most ridiculous one in the poll.

I very much consider TFA to be half-assed. What a generic film which only fed on nostalgia, it brought nothing new to the table.
That's not true. C3PO had a red arm.

I just don't see anything about these monsters that could be considered original. In fact, I think they're just about the most cliched monsters they could've done, outside of a giant dinosaur or ape. That's just me, and I know they have their fans but this was always a big lost-opportunity in my eyes.

Should they be in movies at all not a chance in hell lol jk. No i'm sure there are some good things about these two but it's kind of hard to take them serious knowing how they both seem hated by most of the fanbase and are both considered nothing more than a couple of idiots that are not loved. I probably shouldn't be to harsh on them though they are good fighters and all but I understand a lot of others concerns I like them mosnsters we already have and both know and love. I mean no offenice to those who wre responisable for making the original monster in Kajiu Combat or for those who do like them but, I'm really not to crazy about them. I just want a strict Godzilla game again i guess that's just how I am. The only new monsters I want are the ones I make lol.

If LP makes these two the "new" monsters in the movie, then someone will have to escort me out of the theater because I will be shitting my pants due to laughing so hard. I like Krystalak a lot more than the rock hard turd that is Obsisious, but I would never want to see them in a movie. Comics sure, cartoon sure, movie... Hell no.

LOL everyone on here most really think that Obsideous and Krystalak are just a couple of imba- souls. Oh man I couldn't stop laughing while reading through this thread people really seem to hate them quite a bit and when I was looking through this site I saw on the Godzilla Unleashed game page while looking through old updates that everybody was all mad because these both of these idiots got choicen over real Toho monsters. Hell, the only reason that we go stuck with them is because Atari could get a proper licensing to all of the Toho monsters that already existed. I guess I can't blame people on here for not wanting them on film. Oh my god do you guys think that they could easily get shot and killed by just one small man with a gun?
