Re: Godzilla: Monster of Monsters (NES)
Wh-what...
This game has been around since the 80s... And a hidden character wasn't found until the new millennium.
That's nuts! Judging by the video, Anguirus was either never finished, or incredibly broken. Does he have any actual attacks? Or is walking through stuff the only thing you can do?

Re: Godzilla: Monster of Monsters (NES)
All he can do is walk through everything. The attack buttons do work but since he has no attack frames it looks like he's just walking through everything. The fact that he has no attack frames but can still attack seems to make him extremely overpowered against Gezora.Zilla103192 wrote:Wh-what...

EDIT: Both Anguirus and Rodan are incomplete but Anguirus just happens to have his walk sprites completed, unlike Rodan.

I was gonna say fake, bug watching that....boy. That awesome! I'd say its real due to all those bugs. Looks like he was never finished.
Pretty cool that he was discovered only this soon

I really don't know what to say here. I want to believe, but it looks super fake and sense all the game's sprites have been ripped and this is not there, I'd wager it's false.
Why was the code not given? IF someone has this game, they should try to find this code and see if it works.

Re: Godzilla: Monster of Monsters (NES)
If that's real then that's skreeonking amazing! Still, it's kind of suspicious that the sprite was discovered now when I'm sure people have already hacked into the game's files before.
Hopefully this is true and maybe there's more hidden stuff within the game...

Re: Godzilla: Monster of Monsters (NES)
I've always thought this game had more to it, especially with the "sea monster" level and all.
Hopefully it is real, but I don't know how we could prove it other than getting Godzilla the King to help someone through the process so they can replicate it

I wonder if the "sea monster" stage is an indication that Ebirah was gonna be in the game.Beef Bigshot wrote:I've always thought this game had more to it, especially with the "sea monster" level and all.

Re: Godzilla: Monster of Monsters (NES)
Possibly. But then again, I heard that the old game genies had a code for unlocking Rodan but it never worked. This sprite , however, looks exactly like the other in-game sprites.charliesheenkaiju wrote:Are you sure its not some mod inspired by that creepypasta?

Re: Godzilla: Monster of Monsters (NES)
If anybody else wants to try, use the code 0127-01-03 with the nnnesterj emulator(it has to be this one) and with the Japanese version of the game(yes it must be the Japanese version).
EDIT: I think I should also mention that the cheat will not activate the "Board" icon for Anguirus. I did that with a Tile Editor.

Wait, this is real? I know I've seen that Anguirus sprite before, but I thought it was fanmade.
Holy shit.
Holy shit.

Well, mind blown.
So Rodan simply doesn't have any sprites, or is unrecoverable

Ah, I still had the site I saw this on bookmarked. The sprites here have been recolored. Thought the Anguirus was fake (because you know how many custom/faked sprites there are for this game, why should I trust this guy?).

This is pretty freaking cool.

We'll I'll be damned. You strike again Mr.Rocket. Great work revealing this. Color me very excited. Angurius's sprite is looking good as well.

Re: Godzilla: Monster of Monsters (NES)
Funny, after seeing cosbyDaf's design, its weird seeing how anguirus actually should look. Not what I was expecting but it gives me a good basis when doing future GMOM inspired sprites for texturing an all. Its really not that heavily detailed of a spriteSpaceG92 wrote:We'll I'll be damned. You strike again Mr.Rocket. Great work revealing this. Color me very excited. I found it in the tile editor. I think that's all he has though.
