How? It is a game where you control a ground monster (just godzilla in the NES version) and an air monster (Just mothra in the NES version)

It is a side scroller where you punch kick, and use your breath against planes, tanks, ships, and destroy large structures.

And at the end you always fight a boss.

The only thing that is missing is the grid board from the NES game.

Well, for example you didn't have to do some damn button combo crap every 5 minutes to advance the story. You also had your choice of monster to battle with on each level and not have to swap an air monster for the ground monster just so you can regain some health. Also, there was some semblance of a story.
Hey, he didn't say a GOOD remake...

A Monster of Monsters remake would be awesome. Godzilla and Mothra need more moves, the boss fights have to be more engaging, there needs to be less repetetive gameplay, and I suppose more varied backgrounds would be ok.
Q: Will we see that monster that Bryan was going to reveal this morning at the press conference?
Cranston: Oh yeah! The only Godzilla movie with an X-rating.

Fan one. Updated music, unlockable monsters etc. Fight as more than just Godzilla and Mothra for example.

So... is there any actual progress being made on this or anything, Chris? Because we first heard about this thing back in 2007 and that post of yours is the first news I've heard or seen of it since then.

OK I'm sold. If I can learn to work an emulator on my com I'll play this.
I seriously doubt you'll require one, it's probably going to be flash or something else as I doubt TK would want to support a shaky subject like Emulators and Roms.

Yeah people are working on it. Not sure when it'll be out. TK debut though.
Are the people working on it TK users?

I hope Anguirus and Rodan are playable!

And it would be a treat to see Kong, the Gargantuas or any Heisei monsters as enemies

I know they haven't release any images publicly of the monsters, but have they shown any of them to you Chris?

I'm just curious if the monsters will look like the original sprites but nicer, or if they'll look completely different.

Well, while we're making demands...

1- Option to switch between a (remixed/remastered) original soundtrack, or new one w/ all Toho music

2 - Authentic monster roars

3 - Tag battles

4 - Destructable enviornments during fights

5 - Collectable "figures" to find by destroying objects in the sidescrolling levels. I always love pointless little collectables in games.

Thoughts?

Epic reference, although I hadn't seen that episode until today.

But that reminds me...

Why the hell wasn't Rodan in this game? Because the sequel was going to be about him?

My only guess was that he was primarily an ally of Godzilla so it wouldn't make sense to fight him, and moving 3 characters through the stages would be too tedious?

I'll always wonder what the NES "Rodan" game could've/would've been, though.
