I haven't fired up my Gamecube in a while, but I think it ran at an unlocked framerate that averaged at 30fps.SG-17 wrote:Did this game run at or near 60fps on the GC?

The game runs at 60fps most of the time. Easiest way to make it drop to 30 (or below?) is to render a HUGE number of buildings all at once.GIGAN05 wrote:When I played it, near 60fps all the time.SG-17 wrote:Did this game run at or near 60fps on the GC?
Go to a dense city, DON'T KNOCK THING DOWN, move to the edge such that the camera is looking through the barrier into the mass of buildings. Move back and forth, and watch the framerate slow down.
On a few maps, this is relatively easy. But we tried to avoid letting the camera look "into" the city as much as possible, to mitigate this issue.

I picked up this game yesterday and I love it. The AI does not mess around it is sometimes hard for me to play and advanced to mechagodzilla 2. And if your wondering what version I got it was the gamecube one

What difficulty are you playing on? Medium isn't pretty hard, though MG does have an extra 25% health. Hard gives all opponents 25% percent extra health, but MG has an extra 50%. I play on Medium because it gives me a challenge while not being extremely difficult and it's fun to destroy buildings looking for the Atari logo.SuperPawnageGigan wrote:I picked up this game yesterday and I love it. For me the hardest part about fighting Mechagodzilla (or Mecha King Ghidorah) in story mode wasn't his extra health, but how the Vortaak military just chips at your health like crazy during the fight.

My tactic was always to hide behind buildings and chuck them at him until his HP was whittled down.Komenja wrote:For me the hardest part about fighting Mechagodzilla (or Mecha King Ghidorah) in story mode wasn't his extra health, but how the Vortaak military just chips at your health like crazy during the fight.

Finally got this and STE for Xbox recently. It's like playing HD remasters of their originals! Kiryu and Vortaak Home World in DAMM and the power lines in STE also really enhance the experience.

Yeah, I almost forgot that used to have DLC. Also a little disappointed I can't utilize the custom soundtracks on the 360.Chris55 wrote:Too bad you can't download Thrashburg anymore

Yeah you can do it in versus mode. have to walk behind the buildings and it should be in the distance. Have to throw a building at it.Jatahaxe wrote:Yeah, I almost forgot that used to have DLC. Honestly Orga was my favorite monster to play as, as a kid I never knew there was a difficulty setting so I never encountered him though, I just used cheats lol
I also remember trying to put in the Kiryu cheatcode, of course that never worked on my GameCube.

I know that feeling. I remember not understanding why the Xbox and the Japanese GameCube version had Kiryu and not my version. Oh well at least he was in Save the Earth!UltimateDitto wrote: I also remember trying to put in the Kiryu cheatcode, of course that never worked on my GameCube.
