New kaiju game from Matt Frank + Simon Strange [Archive]

Ok, tonight (Sunday night) and tomorrow (Monday morning) we need another BIG push on "tips" to major game news sites including:

Kotaku
Destructoid
Rock Paper Shotgun
Giant Bomb
Gamasutra
IGN
Gameinformer
Gamespot
edge-online
escapistmagazine

None of those sites have carried our story thus far. Some have had posts on messageboards, but we really need headline articles.

Folks with accounts at other sites should keep curating their threads - don't worry about the flamers, just focus on boards where you have decent reputation and keep things focused on directing people to become Backers.

I'm very excited about how well positioned we are right now. There are several big things happening in the background soon, so if we can just get that initial news article out, we'll be well-situated for exciting follow-ups in the next couple weeks.

I have a friend who works for Privateer Press the makers of Monsterpocalypse (table top game). I sent him an email. Hopefully we can get a contribution from them, or at least their monsters in the game. Fingers crossed.

How about someone reaching out to the Angry Video Game Nerd, James Rolfe? He is a *HUGE* Godzilla fan (and of course video game fan as well), and he has tons of followers. I am sure he or Mike Matei would post something about it on Cinemassacre.com...

Not yet, but I will later this month once I xfer money back home to my American bank account (since I live and work in Japan, all my money is tied up in yen in my Japanese bank account at the moment).

PM me your travel dates, and we'll work out a way you can get some flyers and posters. I might have them printed near you so you can pick them up, or I might have them printed near Comic-Con so you can collect them when you're there.

We'll strategize on what you can do with them - I'm hoping to hear from other friends or people with booths, where posters could be displayed. But worst case, you can always go tape-style on a wall near the conference! (If you're up for it - we'll discuss offline)

So - I know most of you are probably disappointed that the Kickstarter hasn't taken off. I share that frustration.

But let me say - I am SO EXCITED about some of the partnerships / announcements we have coming up. SO MUCH GOODNESS.

We've had a bunch of new message threads - new tweets - we're keeping the interest visible. That's awesome. I did two interviews yesterday, and I have two more today. Press stuff is coming online. More rewards are coming. Do not burn yourselves out - because I need us to keep moving forward at a steady pace until the end of this thing. Your enthusiasm, constructive criticism, and steady work have totally improved this campaign.

Thanks for that.

Chris is in charge of the story. He hasn't shared details with me yet - but since we don't even have a roster set, it's probably pretty loose still.
