It's also joked that Duncan controls the 'furry mafia'. Cause his character's so popular on sites like Furaffinity or something, if someone drew Duncan sex art, he'd have his fans bully the artist to take it down. He also, but I'm getting this story from /v/, 'convinced' an artist to draw nothing but Duncan art after Duncan saw a female macro kangaroo. So he had his fans bully the artist, who was more into vore then macro, into removing the vore and just making duncan x female kangaroo art. X_X

So don't talk ill of Duncan, or you'll find out, one morning, there's a furry yiffing a horse head in your bed.

I'm honestly not sure how true all this Duncan stuff is. Getting back to the CKC stuff, the mind control thing wouldn't really work on a LOT of the collab monsters. I can tell you that even my monster doesn't have what could be identified as a "brain" to control. Then there's the robots, how would those be controlled?

That and a few kaiju were just mindless amorphous shapes.

Reprogrammed. Pretty simple.

If we can accept Mothra getting mind controlled in STE and DAM, there should be no problem.

IIRC, back when the game first came out, Simon was into Furry bar hopping
After asking a few random guys at the bar, he finally found some solid backers to get his game going
And thats how Duncan, Macro, Lycanoid, and Heart Eater came about.

He's trying to dispel things that people have said about the game (the negative stuff), as well as the servers, which are costing money and need to be cleaned up. I'm still listening to it.

I'm thinking of writing something up about the amount of miscommunication that's been going on. Whether it's Simon's fault or not (and I don't think it is, simply because people believe what they want to believe regardless of what facts are placed in front of them), the fact of the matter is that a lot of things about the project have changed over several years. This confuses people. It is not uncommon. A number of Kickstarter-funded video games and related mediums have had issues with miscommunication. Sometimes it works out in the end. Other times, it can be unpleasant. Such was the case with The Stomping Lands and Mighty No. 9 (though the latter had numerous other problems).

I don't care about the rumors (animators being underpaid, Matt Frank leaving development, and other unverified claims). Until such rumors are proven true, I won't ascribe to them.

The main focus for anyone who's still interested in this game should be progression. Everything else (rumors) should be ignored.

It should also be the only question that needs answering with clear and easy to understand replies. "Yes we have an environment artist" or "No we don't have an environment artist."

"Hey Dan, you might want to make an entire video on Kaiju Combat. There's a lot more that happened behind the scenes and within the community that caused it to fail. A lot of the problems were caused by the "wonderful" furry community, and a giant green kangaroo named Duncan. Look into it, because it is bizarre."- A comment from said video.

I really like this Larry guy. I have watched quite a few of his videos before. I'd kill for him to make a video solely about the CKC fiasco.

Damn. I wish this game came into fruition. I'd play the hell out of it.

Oh that, well it's nowhere near as bad as it sounds.
The game it's self is being made, it's just that their contract with the creator of Nemesis expired.
Meaning unless they renewal their contract with the them, Nemesis (& Nemesis Prime) won't appear in the games.
So right now they're thinking of maybe staring a different Kaiju for the main role.

Ummm...

UPDATE: KAIJU COMBAT – THE FALL OF NEMESIS has been CANCELLED.

If Kaiju Combat is resurrected and made in the future, it will be without Nemesis.

Pretty sure the game isn't being made anymore.

The original story & the Nemesis part of it are canceled.
The game that was supposed to be FON is still being made without Nemesis.

Simon confirmed this in a more detailed post on the Sunstone Forums back when it was announced, however there was server error that happened a few weeks ago & all the posts that where made on the forum from Nov 2 to Jan 16 were deleted, along with the detailed post.

They're going to need a new antagonist, then.
