How Long do Kaiju live?

I read somewhere that Kong in the 2005 film was about 150 years old. That's probably the only time I've ever seen a monster's age like that.

But based on the Loch Ness Monster, Champ, Big Foot, the Chupacabra and everything else, I'd say they manage to live a pretty long time.

i'm trying to formulate a thought around the time travel, making new godzilla with a submarine thing in relationship to the meltdown, but i'm at work...have to get on this one later. you guys talk amongst yourselves about this one.

I'm 19, anything above the age of 45 is pretty damn old to me. Doesn't mean I think anything less of 'em.

Ill say a really long time because of Hibernation. But another good example is of Junior after Destoroyah of how
Emmy said Godzilla never destroys japan but i can help but think that he doesnt either for the reason that
he is Hibernating, Died of old age by then (23 or 22 century i dont remember at the top of my head) or
for its obvious "alliance" with the Humans.

We know Showa Ghidorah is several thousand years old, according to the Martian. Unless there's more than one of them, which we have to assume is not the case.

But couldn't that just be the same Ghidorah that hatched in GTTHM? Maybe Ghidorahs live for several hundred years at a time. The space shuttle idea is interesting. Though he can freely travel on space so it doesn't make much sense...

He just uses a cocoon to travel between planets when he doesn't want to waste energy. He is capable of flying in space by himself but think of how much time and energy would go by just to fly from one planet to another. Would seem better to just make the meteor cocoon and sleep while waiting for your "capsule" to arrive on the next planet.

I'd had always taken it that the meteor was a sort of hibernation state, and the fireball formation was him waking up again.

You can not comprehend his true form!

Yeah his meteor is just a means of travel while he sleeps and the fire is him waking up, much like Gigan's diamond and multi-explosion.

I really have no idea. Kaiju like Mothra have died from old age but for Godzilla I base it sort of off of G2K where they say his cells always fully regenerate and how he was not missing a single cell, cells normally die over time but he wasn't missing any. So Godzilla (at least the G2K version) is virtually immortal.

I just love how you say this when the post above you says Immortality and godhood are NOT the same thing. By that logic vampires are gods because they live forever. Nope, they're just overpowered creatures who live too damn long.
