The Green Slime, huh? I saw a trailer for that a few years ago. I'll probably try to watch it, for the theme song if nothing else.

(Tried buying it online but the film was always out of stock or too high of a price for that of a normal DVD). So I greatly look forward to this upcoming event. Time to mark my calender and have another monster movie night :)

Not to move OT, but 10 bucks for three movies is a great price IMO, especially considering two of them are good.

If you want to just see it, go over to crackle.com. and watch Mothra for free, legally.

Well, my June 15th is booked. And not with what my nights are usually booked with.

I'll catch Gojira, Mothra, and maybe Rodan. Still thinking about whether I want to see the Green Slime or not.

Just a forewarning, one can except RODAN to look horrible. The TV master used is over 30 years old, and looks horrendous.

THE H-MAN and MOTHRA will also most likely not be Sony's restored versions, and old TV masters instead. The TV master of THE H-MAN I know for a fact is very dark and murky, and looks pretty bad.

I don't mind if the films shown aren't at their best quality, from my knowledge there are rarely any Giant Japanese Monster films shown on basic television anymore. Sure you could buy the films on DVDs, and Blu-rays, but until my next paycheck I think I'll settle with what's being offered to me.

It's not possible for them to do that, so I have a hard time imagining how cool that would be.

...Uh..no.

For one, TCM would never do something like that. If this were old-school Sci-fi (not SyFy), and they had nothing better to do, then maybe. Mind you, that kind of marathon would take well over a day to do. Second, do you know how hard it would be to do something like that? So many different companies own the rights to different Godzilla films in America. It's just easier to show films owned by the same company. Third, even I wouldn't watch something like that. Showing all twenty-eight films in a marathon is really excessive nowadays.

He said he wishes for something like that to happen. Probably for the reasons you stated.

I will definitely watch this. I've always wanted to see Mothra and H-Man. Now I get my chance.

I can't stress this enough. Everyone should own this. It's under $12.

I'd rather watch on TV.

Oh well. You'll be watching them in fullscreen, and in English. Something to keep in mind.

I rarely watch my Classic Media DVD's in Japanese. I really could care less about fullscreen too.

That's cool. If you don't care that you're missing a ton of the picture, then all the power to you man.

Who knows. Maybe TCM will surprise us, and actually screen the restored Sony versions. They did play the Sony (international) version of SON OF GODZILLA a couple of years ago, which was pretty surprising.

I do know that one TCM's recent showings of THE H-MAN was still same old video master, and that wasn't even that long ago either.

Actually, i wouldn't be surprised if TCM shows the Japanese version of all four movies. They're most certainly showing the Japanese version of Godzilla, so I don't think it's too far of a stretch to say they'll be showing the other ones too. They seem to want to honor Honda in the proper way, which would be by showing the films the way Honda intended them to be seen: In his language.

I doubt they'll all be the Japanese versions, but we'll see. (Like I said earlier) They might just surprise us. Who knows.
