I would make Godzilla beat the crap out of the Mothra larvae at the end of Mothra vs. Godzilla. I mean seriously, all of that and he gets defeated by WORMS?

No, the badass part was taking the insane pounding that the military gave him. All the larva did was subdue him, and drop him in the ocean. It's not like Godzilla was beaten senseless in a freaking fist fight with the larvae, he was temporarily tangled up. I don't see any effect on the "badass-o-meter".

Shit, if you threw a net over Audie Murphy and he fell over, would that make him less of a badass?

It was never a big deal to me. People just kept on me about it so I made it sound like a bigger deal to me than it actually is because I had to explain myself. But yeah what you say makes sense.

This is exactly right. It wasn't a traditional fight. I saw it as more like Godzilla was leaving anyway, and they basically wrapped him up and showed him the door. Clearly not a "defeat" as in they did actual damage to him, more like an embarrassment for him. The military used what they had against him and it didn't stop him, but the larvae had a very unique way to subdue him, that didn't involve an actual weapon. It's clever really, and a really good movie
