I think when it comes to deadliest it is meltdown Godzilla. He could have destroyed the entire planet

I am anticipating a LOT of flame wars in this thread...

...This is gonna be fun...

My votes go for Dogora, Hedorah, and Destoroyah. Why? Because what we see of their so called, "final forms", aren't exactly their final forms. All three of them have the potential to grow MUCH bigger, and MUCH stronger, then shown in their films. They can also theoretically create armies of themselves. Not even Armor Mothra is going to beat 50 Destroyah final forms. Those three kaiju's sheer potential is what makes them the deadliest IMHO.

same, the deadliest monster is really hedorah and king ghidorah. Hedorah almost killed godzilla twice, king ghidorah almost had him if rodan didn't come to help.

Although I agree with kaiju king, I would like to mention one other monster and that is Orga. He has the ability to gain other monsters' abilities and with the right powers he could be an almost unstoppable opponent.

Meltown Godzilla is probably an honorable mention for that reason. Hedorah is one of the chief monsters from Toho in my opinion not just because of how powerful he could become (as one poster mentioned, Hedorah would've only grown larger, deadlier, and more powerful had he not been stopped), but also because of the pollution he gives off. He quickly decimates cities simply by flying around and laying waste. As he grows more powerful, destroying more and more cities at a faster rate is achieved. He could've destroyed the world very quickly and been virtually unstoppable.

^ What he said. My vote goes to Hedorah, with Destroyah & Burning Godzilla close behind.

What makes Hedorah so deadly is the fact is he is bent on destroying the world and that makes him a potential threat. However If Godzilla Meltdown was bent on destroying the world... There would be no world... Not even a desolate pollution filled place such is the case with Hedorah. But I agree that Hedorah gets to be mentioned. He gets second place.

Actually Hedorah doesn't really care about destroying the world he just wants to feed. The problem is that by his very nature he destroys the world just by being alive and moving around. So he would destroy the world eventually but that probably was never his intent. Not that it matters because he's gonna be too busy feeding off a dead polluted planet to even care or notice.

I remember the old Heisei thread where people kept mistaking 'deadliest' with 'most powerful'. I stick to my old decision and give it to King Ghdiroah because of his heer destructive potential and ambition that the others lack. Second place is naturally Hedorah or Gyaos (if Daiei Toho Distributed kaiju are allowed), the former for being a walking graveyard, and the latter...well, watch the ending of Gamera 3.

If it wasn't for Gamera, the world might be a Gyaos nest by now. With Humans as their main diet and the military relatively ineffective against them, they can be considered one of the most deadly. And it's hard to argue against Ghidorah. His utter hatred for any living being other than himself along with his durability definitely make him a very deadly monster. Hedorah goes without saying, pretty much.

Ghidorah loves to kill, he's the deadliest. Characters such as Hedorah are potentially deadlier, but without the same trigger-happy attitude is hard to match three flying heads spamming beams.

Hedorah. He flies over people and they die. That's power that one, two, or three beams can't compete with. He's a monster (quite literally), and Godzilla probably would've lost against him without them Giant Electrodes. Heisei Burning Godzilla takes second, because that beam he has can toast just about anything to a crisp. Then it starts to get questionable...Armor Mothra maybe? I don't know, I haven't seen him in action.

Ah the Gyaos. How could I forget them! There's one on my frickin avatar for crying out loud!

I think the Super Gyaos in G:GOTU lays five eggs, right? The main Gyaos in the movie grew to full size in about a week, right?
I might need to rewatch to get the number's correct, but this calculation is scary!

Starting with one baby Gyaos.
Week 1: Gyaos lays 5 eggs.
Week 2: 6 Gyaos lay 5 eggs each. 30 in total.
Week 3: 36 Gyaos lay 5 eggs. 180 in total.
Week 4: 216 Gyaos lay 5 eggs. 1080 in total

Within a month, you have over a thousand Gyaos. Not hard to see why there were so many in G3.
This data is assuming that Gyaos hatch within the day. (I believe this because when the Super Gyaos starts laying eggs, things seem to be very suspenseful. When Gamera arrives, it feels like he's right on time, like the eggs are about to hatch.) This data is also assuming that each Gyaos survives to maturity.

BTW, here is the Gyaos population in two months: 1 399 680!!! :freak:

The Gyaos are definitely on the list for this.

Showa King Ghidorah, Grand King Ghidorah, and Desghidorah are the only real, deliberate planet-killers on the Toho roster. And even among those, Showa KG is the only one that completely killed off a planet. The other two just caused mass extinctions. Meltdown Godzilla obviously gets mention because he will inevitably kill the planet unless something is done about him.

I don't think Hedorah really deserves the title as deadliest, since he requires special conditions in order to become deadly. Like, if he'd landed on Earth during the Cretaceous, he wouldn't have done anything because he wouldn't have grown in the first place.
