What about Showa Mechagodzilla's missiles? They did a shit ton of damage to Godzilla. And If i remember correctly King Caeser wasn't too fond of em either.

UOL is right. It probably just takes longer to make the missiles the mechs use that actually hurt monsters. And Zone Fighter has some too.

Showa Mechagodzilla was also made with alien technology, so...I don't know if that really counts. So to reword my earlier statement: It's not like man-made missiles ever do any damage to kaiju.

That said, I guess the spike-missiles might work if they weren't explosive, but just rocket-propelled spikes designed to impale the enemy monster. I'd still prefer to see them as a melee weapon, though.

Howsabout a team of mechs based on some of the arthopod kaiju in Godzilla's rogues gallery. Going for a land ,sea, air motif I'd think a Mecha-Kumonga(Land) ,Mecha-Ebirah(Sea), and Mecha-Megaguirus(Air) would rule the roost. Partial credit for that goes to the Lizard Slayer mechs from the episode of GODZILLA:THE SERIES, "Lizard Season".

The idea of cyborg kaiju also works fine for me as well. Mecha-King Ghidorah has always been a favorite of this fan. Likewise Cyber-Godzilla from GODZILLA:THE ANIMATED SERIES. In fact, when Dino DeLaurentis made his remake to King Kong. It was intended to be the first of a trilogy of flicks, and the follow up to first flick was intended be called BIONIC KONG. In which the big ape was to be resurrected as a cyborg by a group of criminally motivated scientists, and is even made to kill Dwan by them. But it never happened ,but some elements were included in KING KONG LIVES. He probably would've ended up looking like this bloke in the flick.

Mecha-Kumonga

Something similar has already been done: the All-Terraintula, from Dark Horse's comics. Big robot spider with some kind of anti-radiation missiles or something. It managed to give Godzilla a decent fight, if memory serves.

But yeah, a Mecha-Kumonga wouldn't be a bad idea. The webs are already a formidable ranged weapon; add some lasers or missile launchers and some atomic breath-resistant armor, and you could have a pretty cool and effective giant tank. CQB might be an issue, though. Maybe the front legs could be equipped with claws, or some kind of electric cattle prod type-things. Long-range fighting would definitely have to be its specialty, though.

You know I was (mostly) joking when I said Mechaminya, but thinking about it a little more, it could actually make sense in a movie. I could totally see humans (or even aliens) building a Mechaminya as a decoy to distract or lead Godzilla to where they want him. Maybe even have Mechaminya loaded with some kind of superweapon so when it does lead Godzilla out into the open, it can bombard him with whatever on-board superweapon.
