Many Kaiju would be awesome to see as a Robit, but I think Anguirus would be cool to see. I mean he'd still get his ass kicked like regular Anguirus, but at least he'd get to be shiny while doing it.

Mecha-Anguirus could be pretty cool, though I wouldn't want to see the spikes made into missiles. It's...kind of pointless, really. It's not like missiles ever do any damage to kaiju, and it's obviously much cheaper and more practical to just keep using conventional means (jets, mobile artillery, ships, etc.) to launch them. The spikes should stay simple defensive weapons like they've always been, though maybe they could be made sharper or something.

Otherwise, this thing should be a brutal T&C brawler like its namesake, relying mainly on brute strength and entirely too many sharp points to do its damage. A laser cannon in its mouth and/or eyes would suffice for and long-range fighting it needs to do. I'm thinking it would be deployed primarily in a support capacity with other mechs like Mechagodzilla or MOGUERA. The ranged-specialist mech would be the main weapon, pounding the enemy kaiju with its weapons from a distance. Mecha-Anguirus' main job would be to guard the ranged mech, keeping the enemy from getting close enough to physically attack it.

Mecha-spacegodzilla would be a cool concept. Maybe with a crystalline armor that can grow to provide extra protection, or act as a unique power source.

For the most part, I'm with you. I can't really think of any existing monsters that I want to see in mech form. The one I might like is a cyborg of Gorosaurus where he's more armored and controlled than a full robot. For some reason cyborg dinosaurs, especially carnivores, always appealed to me when gifted with man's technology and firepower. This dinosaur needs more, for example, but the head looks cool.

UOL is right. It probably just takes longer to make the missiles the mechs use that actually hurt monsters. And Zone Fighter has some too.

Showa Mechagodzilla was also made with alien technology, so...I don't know if that really counts. So to reword my earlier statement: It's not like man-made missiles ever do any damage to kaiju.

That said, I guess the spike-missiles might work if they weren't explosive, but just rocket-propelled spikes designed to impale the enemy monster. I'd still prefer to see them as a melee weapon, though.
