Who hasn't seen all the Godzilla films?

For discussions covering more than one Toho film or show that span across more than one “era.”

I have seen them all but do not have them all.

They took them down.

Even when the CM titles were on there, MONSTER ZERO was oddly the only film not available on streaming. All of the other Toho films that CM released were available for quite some time, minus that one for some odd reason.

^Makes me happy that I grew up of the days of VHS :) . Megalon is coming out on DVD and Blu-Ray soon, the younger fans can finally see it for once.

Most of those are DVD and can find them on most video stores. I would try Amazon if you haven't already.

Yeah, I guess that seems to be the case with a good percentage of the U.S. Godzilla fanbase.

I've got them all myself. Mostly boots, due to a stage where I was obsessed with having the legit Japanese version, not International with Japanese audio.

I don't own them neither. I will wait when Sony release new DVD's and Blu-Ray's in the near future since they are likely to do that when the Legendary Pictures film comes out.

I haven't seen Megagurius since two different discs of it glitched on my DVD player, or DAM, which I've ordered the MB DVD of.

Wataru, not everyone has the funds for eBay. Especially these days, items tend to shoot up high in price as auctions reach conclusions. While a lot of the releases do go fairly cheap, some of them are pricey - a few months ago I remember being unable to find the original Godzilla vs. MechaGodzilla on eBay for less than $30.

I think to have true understanding or appreciation for Godzilla, it's better to have seen all the films. I'm not saying that those of you who haven't seen them all don't deserve to have an opinion or anything; if you've seen all goofy Godzilla movies, or all serious Godzilla movies, the true experience of Godzilla comes from experiencing all of his "phases" and being able to make comparisons between the differences of them all. Having seen all the Godzilla films, I appreciate the character on different levels, and regard the films not just as entertainment, but also as an interesting franchise that is just as much fun to analyze as it is to have fun watching. Whether they were meant to be viewed on that level or not is up for debate. I like seeing his evolution from a villain to anti-hero, then on to a full-fledged hero, then back to an anti-hero, then back down to a villain again, and learning about the factors that influenced these changes. For those that watch them just for fun, that's great. I watch them for fun too, and like I said, everybody deserves to have an opinion; just some people do view them on different levels, and the best way to do so, in my opinion, is to have viewed them all.

I have seen and own at least one version of each movie.

I haven't seen the Japanese versions of these films: Destroy All Monsters, Godzilla vs. Megalon (will soon change in the very near future), the entire Heisei series except for GvsMGII, and Godzilla 2000.
I was mentioned in the SciFi Japan article about the appearence of extras on the Godzilla vs. Megalon DVD.

I haven't seen the original Godzilla VS. Mechagodzilla, Son of Godzilla, and The Return of Godzilla. And I only vaguely remember Godzilla VS. Biollante.

I also wish Sony would release the original Japanese audio tacks for their earlier releases, like Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah and Godzilla 2000. Same goes for King Kong VS. Godzilla. I just can't stand dubbing, whether it be in a Godzilla film, or its uses in the original Star Wars, where it was used to hide British accents, including Wedge's. It has worked in the past, and when it does so, it works well, but I often prefer it when its standard ADR, to make dialogue more audible or to replace a mistake, not to cover up a language for those who are a bit too lazy to read subtitles.

Ah man..You gotta see MECHAGODZILLA '74. That's one of the most fun, for real. The disk also definitely has Japanese audio, so you're good brah.

It is seemingly now the most expensive Godzilla film that I do not own. Thanks to both Amazon increasing the price and the after market sellers trying to up the price.

I haven't seen The Return of Godzilla because nobody wants to release it on DVD here in the States. And I dont have VHS.
