Peter Jackson tried to make a King Kong film when he was like 10 or something. It didnt work out obviously. It was just his first film project ever.

Loved the Marvel comic. It took me 27 yrs. to track down issue no. 3.
Absolutely despise the Mothra vs. Godzilla 64 suit.
KK vs. Godzilla is my favorite G movie. GMK is second.
Love the Japanese original GRA.
Ghidorah is one of my least favorite villains.
Told my litle sister that Godzilla was buried under a funny shaped hill
across from the house. Kept her scared to death of it.

Yeah, when he first saw the original King Kong as a kid, he tried to remake it with plastic toys and cardboard. It was one of his favorite films of all time, thus why he remade it in '05.

And thus why I said cardboard :P
I used to be a lot more optimistic and outgoing, believe it or not. I used to actually be passionate about this stuff.

Didn't he attempt and earlier remake with Universal? Which ultimately fell under?

Yes, in 1996. Universal got cold feet because Sony was doing GODZILLA, and Disney was remaking MIGHTY JOE YOUNG. All were set to be released in 98', I believe.

I remember he had a kick-ass statue made for the studio, depicting Kong fighting off the family of Tyrannosaurs. When he learned they dropped the project he immediately demanded to have his statue returned to him.

- I love the King Kong suit from KKvG.
- My favorite '60s Godzilla suits are the one from GTTHM and the one from IOAM and EHOTD.
- Godzilla versus the Sea Monster is one of my favorite Showa films.
- I don't like The War of the Gargantuas except for the sfx scenes.
- I think Son of Godzilla is an awesome movie.
- I think that Godzilla vs. Gigan would be significantly better simply if most of the superfluous stock footage was taken out.
- The Godzilla suit from Terror of Mechagodzilla is one of my favorites.
- I dislike both '80s Godzilla films.
- My favorite Heisei Godzilla films are Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah and Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla, and I like Heisei MG's design more than Kiryu's.
- I'd watch Rebirth of Mothra over Gamera 2.
- My second favorite Millennium Godzilla film is Godzilla X Mechagodzilla.
- I like BC, and I wish there were more figures.

I don't like Godzilla vs Mothra...in fact, I just don't like Mothra.
I like the 1964 Godzilla suit the best, followed by '54 and then '01.
I think King Caesar is cooler in GFW than GvMG.

I prefer Godzilla, King of the Monsters! and Godzilla 1985 over Gojira and The Return of Godzilla. I just think that Raymond Burr added so much with his character of Mr. Steve Martin that the Japanese versions feel like they are lacking something (not saying that they were bad by any stretch of the word).

I think Ogata and Emiko are very one-dimensional. The characters in GMK are better rounded.
It is a simple story. There is nothing that brings me happiness. Be it believing in others or them believe in me, it did not matter.
What others called happiness simply did not bring me joy.

What movie are you talking about exactly? The 90's film has that title officially, but I have a feeling that's not the film you're referring to.

The original G vs M was released in 64, so you are right.
I've got a good mind to join a club and beat you over the head with it.

Technically that was MvG.

I don't really make much of a differentiation myself, since I usually keep the Battle for Earth subtitle.

Back when I was probably about 5 or so, I was watching Godzilla vs. Gigan. And the scene with the stock footage from Ghidorah the Tree Headed Monster where Godzilla fights Ghidorah in that valley by the bridge comes up. And there is that shot of Godzilla facing the camera as Ghidorah's gravity beams hitt Godzilla and pushes him backwards away from the camera. At that age, I didn't understand that Godzilla had simply been pushed backwards. So I thought Ghidorah's beams had some kind of shrink ray properties and Godzilla's size decreased.

For some reason, I used to think Orga was the strongest monster ever. Probably had something to do with the fact that Godzilla 2000 was the latest movie at the time.

I actually thought that for a brief amount of time as well when it first came out.
