Re: Godzilla Having a Mate
Godzilla isn't a one off in any series period. In most films we know they killed one in 54 and another one is running around now. Plus the kids come from eggs.

Oh ho ho ho welll excuse me. Hes a one off in my interpretation of him making him unique. Kudos to him laying eggs something I could care less about.miguelnuva wrote: ↑Sat Jan 30, 2021 3:19 pm Godzilla isn't a one off in any series period. He was supposed to be the only one but since they didn't want to ruin the first entries ending they brought in another one to milk it.

And then they created a 3rd. All I'm saying is There was only ever 1 Godzilla in the first film and Megagurius. GMK and FW would have also been on the list but Toho says GMK is the second Godzilla not the first one revived and FW has a child.goji89 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 30, 2021 4:30 pmOh ho ho ho welll excuse me. Yes. One of the cases of where you have to ignore series continuity, and look at various films in the franchise as a stand-alone film, ignoring anything that comes after it. It’s been retconned by some stuff in a magazine, but G54 is supposed to be a special creature.goji89 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 30, 2021 4:30 pmOh ho ho ho welll excuse me. In regards to GMK, even though it’s a “second Godzilla” it’s really just a resurrected or new version, not really bound by reproductive laws. Just ghosts reanimating the original body, or the body of another Godzilla.

Re: Godzilla Having a Mate
Even Dr. Yamane thought, or feared perhaps, that there had to be more than the 54 Godzilla.
As to the topic at hand, it depends on how it's handled. Godzilla finding a mate or even reproducing has to work well with the plot. Personally, I'd be happy to see Godzilla remain a bachelor.

Re: Godzilla Having a Mate
I think they've reached a nice middle ground in the newer films (Shin, Anime) where the insane regeneration of the main, singular Godzilla runs the risk of discarded flesh/cells creating new Godzillas or Godzilla-like creatures (Shin evolutions, Filius and Servum subspecies).
Which seems like a neat extrapolation from previous films where Godzilla cells are a plot device to explain new enemies (Biollante, SpaceGodzilla, Orga) with Godzilla-like traits. It makes Godzilla seem more 'god-like' with unnatural processes, where his very DNA can overwhelm you.

Re: Godzilla Having a Mate
Only good thing about Godzilla anime was that he was a true God in that he reshaped the world into his image.

This. The concept needs to be explored as a whole more.tbeasley wrote: ↑Sun Jan 31, 2021 4:02 pm I think they've reached a nice middle ground in the newer films (Shin, Anime) where the insane regeneration of the main, singular Godzilla runs the risk of discarded flesh/cells creating new Godzillas or Godzilla-like creatures (Shin evolutions, Filius and Servum subspecies).

Re: Godzilla Having a Mate
Since I am someone who doesn’t know when to escape a spiral, I would like to defend the honor of Kong’s shlong, I am going in.
Depending on what figurine of monsterverse kong you see, he has a helicopter sized bulge in the areas of his privates...a large furry bulge that indicates formidable private parts.
Monster-verse Kong has a extremely hominid body...he looks more like a yeti than any gorilla seen in the wild.
Hominids have big private parts in proportion to their bodies, and kong has a massive bulge WITHOUT stimulation going on down there, his bulge is actually larger than most humans in proportion to their bodies.
And he has grown larger to the size of Godzilla...meaning that the shlong in question is big, really big.
Thus, it is reasonable to assume that kong has a big manhood, more than large enough to satisfy Godzilla’s daddy kink.
That’s it...I am taking a shower and probably going to church.
What have I done?
