Which Gamera Kaiju stands the best chance of beating Godzilla?

Which Gamera foe has the best shot at defeating the King Of The Monsters? The Godzilla in question is the 2003 Godzilla, assume all monsters are height equalized to 80 meters (proportionally)

Honestly? Gamera himself. Yes he get's his ass handed to him all the time but he wins in the end because while his enemies have stupid powerful abilities (in context of his films) they are overspecialized and Gamera finds where their failings are under the right circumstances..

Besides Gamera, I'd say Irys or Jiger. Irys has the power to siphon energy from other beings, and Godzilla could be at a disadvantage because of that.
Jiger, however, stands the best chance. With one jab of the tail stinger, Godzilla would be injected with Jiger Jr. and go into a coma. I don't know if Godzilla's radiation would have any effect on Jiger Jr., but if sound alone will kill the baby, then Godzilla would be unable to win without human aid.

If I have to pick someone other than Gamera, it'd be Legion, she might be able to keep her shield up long enough to block Godzilla's rays and she can do it quick as shown when Gamera fired 3 fireballs at her. Combine this with her ability to birth an army of Solider Legions and her horn beam, she become a very formidable foe, if Godzilla can blast her wings off she can't fly anymore and destroy her little legs and the force field is gone. But she has shown that even when being blasted with the Mana Beam it had to be sustand fire to kill her so she can withstand a lot.

I'd have to go with Legion, she has the raw power to go head to head with Godzilla and can def counter his atomic breath. For a second choice, I would probably say Guiron and Jiger, I think if they got extremely lucky it could pull a win off. Other than those two, the matches would be interesting to see but Godzilla would come out on top. Viras and Zigra have no real way to counter Godzilla. Barugon, Gyaos, and Super Gyaos would put up a struggle but be unable to overcome Godzilla. Irys, might be a wildcard, but I don't think it has what it takes to take down Godzilla as it did with Gamera.

I feel like Jiger, for the reasons edgaguirus mentioned, or Zigra with the paralysis beam, stand the best chance. Irys might be able to pull a kind Megaguirus tactic, but somehow I am skeptical about its durability, even if Godzilla had to resort to melee only.

Well he was frozen in ice in GRA and was reawakened by the sub crashing into the iceberg in KKVG. That being said, Godzilla was able to shrug off the cold much icer than Gamera. So Barugon might not be able to use his freeze spray long enough for Godzilla to be immobilized

There's also the factor of how cold is Barugon's breath. I doubt it's the same level as Super-X3, and it most certainly is not Absolute Zero level.

Kiryu-Goji is the weakest of the Godzilla species despite his tenacity and durability. Any Gamera kaiju could beat him, quite frankly.

It depends. Are we assuming KiryuGoji will be constantly fighting, or will he wander off/stand around while his enemy gets its act together?

Excluding Gamera himself, I'd say Legion, for the stated reasons, or maybe Guiron. That blade of his is no joke, and KiryuGoji's regenerative abilities are subpar. A couple good slashes or stabs, and Godzilla could very well be down for the count.
