The world feels a bit......lonely. My heroe has died.

I'm just picturing Gojira rising from the depths of the ocean as Nakajima stands waiting for him on the beach, both looking at each other as to say "Its been a long time".

Someone on twitter said it would be cool to put a zipper on Godzilla’s back in one shot as a small tribute to Nakajima. I think that would be pretty cool.

When I first heard of this, I was shocked. The last of the Big Five behind Godzilla was dead. I've got a picture of the "Godzilla biting a train" still autographed by him that a friend of mine once gave me for my birthday. Needless to say, it's now even more treasured by me now. Rest in peace, Haruo Nakajima. You will be missed.

Godzilla wouldn't be shit with out Nakajima. Same with all the other kaiju he portrayed. It sucks seeing him go. But remember the shit and explosions he put up with on a yearly basis. Old man Tsuburaya was right. Nakajima was irreplaceable to the art of Tokusatsu films and tv series.

Didn't he singe his crotch playing Varan or is that a tall tale?

I'm sure we'll be seeing some sort of tribute, even a very subtle one, in Godzilla 2.

Very sad for his family's loss. The man who was Godzilla. It's good that he got to see the fruits of his labor for many years to come.

Yup. Burned his groin and quietly went to the hospital afterward and then was back on set the next day.

I'm a few days late, but I haven't been too active on TK lately.

I'm in tears reading the previous posts. I really wish I could have met this legend. Hearing of his passing was truly saddening. I wish I had access to Gojira so I could watch him dress up in a rubber suit and turn Tokyo into rubble. This man has impacted a lot of people and his legacy will live on forever.

Rest in peace, Mr. Nakajima.

I hear a distant rumbling... What's that?! It's coming from under the ground!

Oh, God! It's Baragon with Pink undertones! Can't you hear its terrifying cry?!

Late to post it but I made a picture tribute to Nakajima and his role as the Godzilla of my childhood.

Sadly, i never got to meet him in person but he dedicated his time and energy to take on brutal and physical harms of suit-mation and for that i respect him.
Rest in Peace Mr.Nakajima, you will forever be in all of our hearts.

Wow...that sucks! It really is the end of an era. Hopefully, they commemorate his memory in or with an upcoming film. Would also be nice to do one last Showa type film in his along with the other 4's honor. May he rest in peace and know that he put smiles on millions of faces worldwide.

Having the privilege to meet him and grow up on the films he both made and inspired, I'll miss Nakajima greatly. Rest well, OG (Orginal Godzilla). No one and nothing will replace you.

Farewell Mr. Nakajima, your memory will live on with all of us, always. Thank you for bringing Godzilla to life, and all the hard work that truly entailed. Rest in Peace.
