I think 1968 is my go to for "superhero" Gojira.

Re: Go-To Godzilla Design
1984 Godzilla is what comes to mind when I have the character's name. A large, bulky, slow-moving monster that goes through everything relatively unimpeded (if there isn't a Super X around). Though there is a bit a bias in the fact that I love the movie this design appeared in. Second on my list would be the original in that regard.

I voted '89. But honestly all the Heisei suits after the '89 one try to keep the same overall aesthetic. So the Heisei suits in general with the exception of '84 are my go-to Godzilla designs.

Honestly haven't seen that opinion before. Were you introduced to Godzilla through the cartoon, by any chance? Not criticizing, just curious as G85 was one of my first Godzilla movies and was my "go-to" design growing up.GodEmperorGabara wrote:HB Godzilla is my Go-to Godzilla design.
On topic, for me G54, G2000, G14, and yes, G84's designs are the first ones that come to mind when I think of the character. If I had to choose one, it would be G14 (except for the feet )

REEEEE!
You know, 54 is my "back up" Go-To design for me as well. I believe that holds true to ALOT of other people as well.BlacktimusPrime wrote:On topic, for me G54, G2000, G14, and yes, G84's designs are the first ones that come to mind when I think of the character. LegendaryGoji for anything except a horror Godzilla. The horror slot goes to Shin.

Maybe I'm weird but Shin is more of a go to for tragedy story to me, 1954 is the go to horror for me.

Probably 91' Suit for me, but in general just the Heisei era are my to go Godzilla designs and the ones I immediately think of when I think of Godzilla.

Miregojis design looks so cool and amazing. His look is cool and it is like a hybrid of previous suits and the reason of love miregojis design is the dorsal plates! OMGODZILLA i love his dorsal plates the look chaotic and jagged at different angles and i absolutely love the color of them the purple looks amazing. Even though he appeared in 2 movies which are godzilla 2000 and godzilla vs megaguirus he is my favorite godzilla design of all time

Re: Go-To Godzilla Design
While GhidoGoji is my favorite, I actually tend to go to a mixture of various suits (like say GhidoGoji, but has influences of KingGoji in the arms and hands, MosuGoji with the eyebrows, DaisensoGoji with the spines and tail, MusukoGoji for the legs, and SokogekiGoji for the feet). A blend that I feel makes for a fierce, imposing, but still rather quick Godzilla. One who blends tooth and claw fighting with bursts of his atomic breath for long range opponents.
Well, that's certainly a thing.

Re: Go-To Godzilla Design
Biogoji for sure. Partly because Toho seems to especially like this design and the other Heisei Goji suits.
My most wanted fight ever is Discord vs Bobobo-bo bo-bobo.
Godzilla has a regen like Wolverine, a skin like Luke Cage, a hero aura like Captain America, a strength like Hulk, an unstoppability like Juggernaut, an immortality like Deadpool.
There's a 'God' in Godzilla for a reason...

Probably MogeGoji, seeing as he tends to be 'the' Godzilla.
I tend to picture DaisensoGoji when imagining Godzilla, however. Something about it really hits each Showa design trademark.

Re: Go-To Godzilla Design
Despite it being from the only Godzilla film I haven't seen yet, I'm gonna have to go with 84Goji (the suit, not the cybot). It's the perfect Godzilla, in my opinion. The face is menacing as hell, and I love that it gives the classic maple leaf spines a more sharp look. I'd love to see this design represented more in figures, video games, and comics.
