The Official "Kaiju Convention Appearances" Thread

Post by TheSecondComing »

This thread is for sharing with the rest of TK info about conventions that our kaiju heroes will appear at. Letting fans know when they have a chance to meet some of these folks is a cool thing to do, so anybody that finds out about these things can post here.

Original Godzilla Haruo Nakajima is coming to Indianapolis for the Days of the Dead con, June 30th-July 2nd.

If you have digital copy codes for movies you want to give away, I'll gladly take them! :)

This will be my first ever G Fest this year. The list is a little meh. But I'm looking forward to it nonetheless

Oshima, Higuchi, and Nakagawa are cool, but I have to agree with G21. It's not the best, but oh well. I'll have to find a Shin Godzilla print and GXMG CD for them to sign.

I only went to G-Fest once myself. Probably went on a lousy year, but of the handful of cons I've been to, it was no question the worst.

I got to meet Kitagawa-san at Monsterpalooza. I've now gotten to meet 3 of the Godzillas :-D

FLORIDA: A very early announcement for Pensacon 2019, but they have already announced original Ultraman Bin Furuya! February 22-24, 2019.

I've heard a few G Fests from 1999-2002 were bad. Which one did you go to?

Yeah, you must have gone a pretty bad year because the G-FEST's I've been to have by far been my absolute favorite conventions. It blew away all my local cons, that's for sure.

I went in 2007. For me, the highlights were witnessing the self-destruction of a then-hyped fan film made by a group of titanic fools, and being present for a private interview with Don Glut that was intended for a documentary that also wound up not being made.
