What Toho non-Godzilla film do you think deserves a remake/reboot?
Since Godzilla has a franchise dedicated to him, and Mothra at least has a reboot trilogy, I wondered what other films deserved to have either a sequel or reboot or remake or even a series. So I went ahead and made this poll and thread to see what people may think. Please feel free to submit your vote and express your ideas in the comment section below. Thank you.

Mothra needs a modern solo film. There's endless potential for character.

Dogora just because of the potential. There's so much that could be done with it, could you imagine Dogora with modern day technology? It'll probably never happen, but I can dream.

So many good ones to pick from...
Inevitably, I chose Mothra. With the Godzilla-Kong cinematic universe shaping up, I believe all the members of the "Kaiju Justice League" need a solo film, Mothra most of all.

Mothra, definitely, but it'd be nice to see a modern Rodan remake as well.

Huh, what voted for War of the Gargantuas? I'm curious.

It's an absolute classic of the genre, and as much as I love Rodan, I think WotG would be a better choice in this day and age for a stand-alone remake, especially if it were ever part of the Legendary universe. You get a more unique story that way, while Rodan or Varan risks the audience feeling as if it were Godzilla all over again.
Mothra's a great choice too, but the Heisei series already did a remake.

The fact that Mothra got reboot movies in the Heisei series but not the Millennium series is exactly why the Kaiju needs a modern solo venture.

More Mothra movies. She's a little harder to tackle than Godzilla, but I feel that's a mutable character that can still be used in interesting ways. A benevolent nature goddess to counteract Godzilla's penchant for going at political and natural disasters via the horror route. She's removed from humanity but also communicative by way of the fairies. There's a ton of visual and musical iconography attached to her. You can get stories out of those elements forever.
In the sense that H-Man is just a gangster movie with some sci-fi body-horror hi-jinks and nuclear fear, too, I think that could be redone in an interesting way any time.
