I hate to say this, but pretty much any Godzilla related news channel is going to be full of complete BS, anyone who claims to know at least.
I wouldn't and shouldn't do this, but it would be surprisingly easy for me to make a clickbaity Godzilla youtube channel focusing on Godzilla news and people would flock to it solely based on the fact that I speak Japanese and periodically find stuff earlier than most people. I'm not trying to gloat here, I'm just saying that it's easy to mislead people and make them think you have some "insights" when you don't.

For most things, there simply isn't enough stuff happening often enough for weekly, bi-weekly, or even monthly videos to report on, especially not for the... what, 20-ish? minute durations that youtube's algorithms favor. So you gotta come up with bullshit and clickbait to keep interest and get that precious ad revenue.

Pretty much yeah. However, my point was about me and Japanese, because there's a language barrier and gap it's easier for people to make up shit for a (relatively) small and niche fanbase like Godzilla.

King of the Monsters is a gloriously dumb movie filled with gloriously dumb humans doing things you really shouldn’t care about between the things you should care about: giant monsters smashing the bejesus out of each other. There’s a lot of that in the film, but the absolute best of it is saved for the climactic battle in Boston. After Millie Bobbie Brown’s Madison summons all the film’s Kaiju to the evacuated city with her mother’s Kaiju-call device (for...reasons), Godzilla, Mothra, Rodan, and Ghidorah go into battle with each other in a doubles scrap for the ages.

Ugh. Not really cringey, but I think this sort of exemplifies why I dislike the reactions some fans have to KOTM. "Human characters in Godzilla films are pointless and criticizing them is meaningless!".

No fanbase in 2019 made me cringe more than Godzilla fans/ people reacting to criticism about KotM.
