Oh, sure, theory videos are very popular. I have no experience with the Godzilla brand of theorism, but other fandoms like FNAF seem to be heavily built around unraveling the games' mysteries and connecting dots wherever possible. My little brother used to be a FNAF fan, for the record, I've never been interested in the franchise myself.

Anyway, the reason Five Nights at Freddy's theories are so popular is because the guy making the games is annoyingly obtuse about how he delivers his worldbuilding.
