Yes, while underwater. Dark Horse Godzilla was right fucking under it as it impacted, on land. The impact hit him so hard he traveled to modern day with a piece of the Stanger's tail in his hand.

Underwater? Clearly you see in one of the panels with the meteor flying down above Godzilla and his enemy and judging from the impact blast of the meteor covering a part of the planet, Godzilla had to of been caught in it.

Perhaps after tanking the impact, he then dove into the water or something.

Judging from the impact indicated, he was either next to it or just out of the way. Not directly in the line of fire like Dark Horse Godzilla was. And if we want to go into details about comic feats, fucking IDW Godzilla marched through hell and fought an elder god. But somehow, GFW Godzilla is the strongest.

Still judging from the blast radius of the impact Legendary Godzilla had to of still been caught in the blast (The seventh panel) which is still damn impressive. Feel free to disagree though.
