Shintoho Film Series Playing NYC, Other Cities

Here is some interesting Toho-related (if not exactly Toho) news...

Japan Society is hosting a film series devoted to Shintoho, the studio formed by ex-Toho employees following a labor strike in 1947. ‘Into the Shintoho Mind Warp: Girls, Guns & Ghosts from the Second Golden Age of Japanese Film' will screen 8 rare Shintoho cult classics – none available on home video in the US — starting in New York on February 27. After wrapping up in NYC on March 10, the series will be play in a handful of other cities this year.
