Do we actually know the purpose of the BIOLLANTE stop motion footage? I assume it was made to give the Biollante puppeteers an idea of how they wanted her tentacles to move, or something. I highly doubt it was meant to be in the film itself.

What do they say about it in the documentary on the Echo Bridge release?

My favorite deleted scene was Frankenstein vs. The Giant Octopus. While it was a cool scene, and I really like it, I'm glad they cut it. Made no sense in the context of the film. The whole film focuses on Frankenstein, and then in the end, a random octopus finds him and kills him. Wha...

I keep seeing different answers all over the web. Is that really Bagan? Or just a monster from a different film/show that looks a little like him?

I don't see how anyone could be fooled by the GFW Bagan thing... NO IT IS NOT BAGAN, it's a clip from some other show, with GFW music add in...

If its real then let's see footage of the menu screen of the GFW bluray leading to the footage...sorry but I don't buy it, at all. Final Wars didn't look great, but those effects look too cheap to be part of it..plus the film was already monster heavy...plus nothing from the Heisei era was included....etc etc.

youtube deleted a crapload of high quality toho deleted footage by users, due to Toho caliming copyright, sad. I saw them before, shouldve downloaded them back then.

there's some footage in the Return of Godzilla trailer that is absent from the actual movie. Some of it was shot just for the trailer but there is one awesome scene where Godzilla advances towards fleeing citizens after he wakes up from the first Super X battle. In the film he just marches onward, but in the trailer there's an awesome bright explosion that goes off behind him. Also, there's another shot where Godzilla breathes his atomic breath in Tokyo Bay, complete with fins lighting up that was seen in a Japanese commercial advertising its video release.
