Looking outside of the Godzilla franchise:

Reboot
Rodan
Mothra

Remake
Matango
Latitude Zero

I think this film is better off just being buried and forgotten, if that's possible.

Rodan has always been my favorite non G monster film. They could make an excellent remake of it. They could even make a Rodan series. Maybe a Meganulon from the first one could transform into Megaguirus. Then we could have an awesome dogfight between Rodan and Megaguirus.
You know, Darth Vader cannot be Luke Skywalker's father. They don't have the same last name.

I'd like to see a movie combining aspects of their Frankenstein movies.

Yup. A Rodan vs Megaguirus idea has been floating around these boards for a while now and I'm a fan of that idea. I don't know that Rodan has the depth of monsters like Godzilla or Mothra to carry his own series, but perhaps a duology or trilogy would work if there was sufficient demand.

Like the idea a lot, yet I can't help but think: Why not just make it a new daikaiju movie? Why remake Dogora into something else when that idea could be fully launched into a great new movie and call it/make it something new even if it's a flying tentacled monster. Reminds me of mixing Dogora with Altitude. I like that.

The first Rodan movie is one of my favorites. I have to say though that Rodan is the only Kaiju that Toho could never get quite right after the Showa era. Rodan was so lifeless and stiff in Heisei and Mill..

Rodan might just be better off left in the Showa era.

Most of the flying monsters of the Heisei era were stiff looking, although I did like the way he looked while flying in Final Wars. I agree with you that he wasn't done right in the other series, although him competing with Godzilla to be a father was an interesting idea. But I still believe there are a lot of good things they could do with a remake.

A Rodan remake COULD be amazing if done correctly. Unfortunately, I currently see GINO just with Rodan instead.

Sequel to Destroy All Monsters, to close the Showa Era Properly (3 hours long should be good enough)

3 sequels to Godzilla vs Destoroyah, starring Junior as the Main Character; The first film will have a Space King Ghidorah to fight Junior, the second will have a Battle with a new Original monster, and the third will be a Final Battle with Bagan (with Mechagodzilla and Mothra included)

A remake of King Kong vs Godzilla, although it probably will end with Kong winning again (even though the little kiddies would want the "cooler" monster to win)

A sequel to the Kiryu saga films

A better version of Final Wars (it was total shit)

And a remake of Godzilla vs Megalon

Rodan

Mothra, but as a hot female fights ugly female Megaguirus and wins(will never happen... :/)

A Kiryu series, only 2-3 films fighting a monster other than Godzilla

A Godzilla jr series, 2-3 films. Maybe have him fight a weak monster, and in a sequel fight a stronger monster

Adventure of Little Godzilla

War of the gargantuas

Varan remake

Godzilla vs King Kong, let Godzilla kick King Kongs butt this time.
