Yeah, I agree, I mean I don't know where you came from with all this but I do agree.

After watching Godzilla vs. MechaGodzilla '74 tonight, I forget how much killing and blood there is n this movie. It's definitely one of my favorites.

But yes, any realistic look into the world could only bring grim results.

I mean if Godzilla's so radioactive he would be killing millions with radioactivity poisoning without even ever trying to harm anybody, whether he's just walking through the city, saving the world from pollution monsters, or going for a swim.

Gloom and doom.

Isn't the world kinda like this anyway?

I mean, we live in fear of a nuclear attack (I believe Iran has a load).

There's some nukes in the wrong hands (very wrong hands).

Life kinda sucks no matter who you are (It's true!).

The common people are being controlled (think Libya, not anymore but it happened).

Wonder if Godzilla's world is an analogy? ;)

I think Godzilla is kind of like a symbol now, on how crappy the world is today. If we learn from our mistakes and fix them, then "Godzilla/monsters" go away, and the world can finally live in a sense of peace.

I like to think that he just got bored and fell asleep and landed in the ocean!

Seriously though, did Titanosaurus die?

Well sign me up for team "Titanosaurus Lives!"

I'm a glass is half-full kind of guy despite the hypocritical fact that I agree with Living Corpse's first post regarding the cruel real world of Godzilla.

With the slight exception of the threat of nukes, I don't think any of those compare to giant, nearly unstoppable monsters actually attacking cities all the time.

The third thing you listed, about life sucking, is mostly debatable.
Q: Will we see that monster that Bryan was going to reveal this morning at the press conference?
Cranston: Oh yeah! The only Godzilla movie with an X-rating.

Just because he was back in a video game, does not mean he came back from the movies.
If that's true what would you say about Baragon, FW Gigan, Godzilla 1954, Destoroyah. Need I keep going?

But I agree about the cruel reality of such things.

How is the Showa world terrible in any way? From King Kong vs. Godzilla onwards, middle class Japan seems to be living very productive and enjoyable moments.

People were saying that the Rapture and 2012 crap was real and it was going to be the end...NOW
if Monsters were a reality tehn a lot of people will comit massive suicide and the world
wont be a really hopeful one since most appearences of Kaiju's in the world will cause
massive hysteria...although im guessing that would like an "HEY EVERYONE...stop fighting
between each other and fight the monsters" but that's just me.

Most of the monster attacks are in Japan. So it wouldn't necessarily suck unless you lived in Japan.

Yeah, Japan must have some sort of monster drug that the Kaiju are all drawn to. The reason why they level Japan, is because their looking for a tower-sized weed bush.

Yeah but sometimes they do attack outside of Japan. Hong Kong got smashed in GvsD and in DAM it was, well, all over the world.
And remember, FW showed that aliens aren't picky to Japan!

And now for the weather forecast for today: A slight chance of isolated Rodan with a widespread Hedorah, best to stay inside and bucker down folks.

People STILL freak when tornadoes show up - and with good reason. When that F5 hit Jarrell here in TX several years back, it looked like a nuclear bomb had gone off - everything was flattened.

Too be fair after several monsters show up people would become jaded at just accept it as a part of life like tornadoes and crime.

i think that it would suck because we would have to rebuild every time a monster attacks.

But it would be cool because you would see Godzilla :g2k:
