I think there is people that are embarssed... simply because Godzilla doesn't have numbers like Spider-Man, or Batman etc. The fan base is much much smaller... so that could be it.. idk

I'm not though. Maybe when I was younger I kinda did.. but not anymore. My son LOVES Godzilla! He's a little over 2 years old, and he does animal noises, when I ask "What does Godzilla say?", he responds by saying "roar!".

Nah, I'm a proud fan. Always Tweeting about good ol' G. Everyone I know knows I like Godzilla, but I pretty much never bring it up in person since no one I know really cares about the franchise.

I see no reason for me to be embarrassed about liking Godzilla films. It's not like everyone I meet will actually give a damn about what I'm interested in.

I'm embarrased of being here, discussing with you, and about knowing the names of all the Godzilla kaiju, and about owning a bunch of DVDs. I'm in fact so ashamed that I would DO IT AGAIN!!!! Mwahahahahaha!

This is a weird question.

Never been embarrassed about being a fan. My wife just gives me funny looks sometimes. In fact I went to Lexington, KY recently wearing my cherry red double G62 shirt with my wife; who was dressed to the nines. As we shopped at the mall and shopping centers I had 5 strangers stop me out of the blue to tell me what a cool amazing shirt I had on and not a soul said anything to her. I haven't let my wife forget it either as one was a very attractive young lady.

I'm not THAT embarrassed to let people know I'm a fan. It's not something I would bring up in conversation often, but if someone asks or something, then I wouldn't hesitate to say I'm a fan. My former best friend knew about my obsession, but we never really talked about it because he didn't really care, and that's fine. I mentioned my obsession with Godzilla movies to my new friends when we were discussing nerdy things we liked, but it was sort of a short mention and it didn't provoke any sort of discussion. I even used Godzilla as an example of an allegory for a presentation in English class.

I'm kind of embarrassed of being an Ultraman fan, I have to admit. Maybe Gamera too, but not as much.

I've never been remotely embarrassed to be a Godzilla fan. First of all, nobody who would look down on me for it is likely to be pareticularly intelligent and open-minded, anyway, so why should I care what such people think. And, when questioned on the subject, I'm fully capable of explaining in detail the reasons why I'm a Godzilla fan, and exactly what is wrong with anybody who doesn't agree with me. ;)

At work, I always keep my edit bays decorated with Godzilla memorabilia, and all that leads to is people periodically popping their heads in to check out the collection, or asking me which is my favorite Godzilla movie.

No one should ever be embarrassed for being fans of anything.

As TV's Frank said: "Wave your freak flag high!"
I was mentioned in the SciFi Japan article about the appearence of extras on the Godzilla vs. Megalon DVD.

Seriously, when I listen to what some of those writers had to say about working with Henson, I want to pull out their teeth, grind them up, soak them in spoiled milk, and force feed them back to them.

Tell SNL to suck it.

Because they suck these days.

Used to be. My Dad really disapproves of me being a kaiju fan, but I've learned not to let him bother me.
