After Godzilla escaped the military's trap in Central Park, he fled into the ocean. The Navy was prepared for just this situation however, as three nuclear submarines, two Ohio Class Nuclear-Powered Submarines and one Los Angeles-Class Nuclear Attack Submarine, were gently gliding through the shallow waters. The Los Angeles-Class sub managed to lock onto Godzilla and launched a torpedo at the beast. The limber leviathan managed to swim underneath the incoming weapon, though, and just barely dodged it. However, the torpedo was still locked on, and the cunning creature led it barreling straight toward the Los Angeles-Class sub. Godzilla's spines grazed the vessel's hull, and shortly thereafter, the torpedo collided with the submarine. The remaining Ohio Class submarines were forced to fend for themselves...
