A multi-purpose, highly advanced technological wonder from the 23rd century, KIDS was a remarkable vehicle that accompanied the enormous time machine MOTHER as it returned to the year 1992. As the Futurians tricked 20th century Japan into complying with their plans to remove Godzilla from history and secretly replace him with King Ghidorah, Emmy Kano and the android M11 readied this smaller craft as it prepared to launch into the past. KIDS shot into the sky and soared into orbit, embracing an aurora of colors that surrounded the time shifting vessel. Arriving in 1944, the ship landed on Lagos Island, where the inhabitants witnessed a fierce battle between a lone Godzillasaurus and a battalion of American soldiers. The dinosaur was badly wounded from the fray, and as the nearby Japanese garrison moved away from the dying body, M11 began to use the teleportation technology aboard KIDS to dematerialize the animal and relocate him to the remote Bering Sea. The cryptic creature held on to life for many decades and was ultimately mutated into the modern Godzilla. Emmy, meanwhile, released three genetically engineered pets on Lagos, which would ultimately transform into the three-headed dragon: King Ghidorah, an invaluable pawn in the sinister plans of the duplicitous Futurians.

KIDS sped into the future, and as it arrived in the present day, tragedy struck. It was revealed that the Futurians were in truth working against Japan, for they had complete control over King Ghidorah, whom they ordered to destroy the country. Emmy Kano dissented from her fellow crewmembers and led an attack on the transmitting devices in the time machine. Aboard KIDS, Emmy and a reprogrammed M11 teleported MOTHER into the middle of the battle between Godzilla and King Ghidorah, where it was promptly annihilated by a powerful thermonuclear beam of energy. King Ghidorah was defeated shortly thereafter, and it fell into the depths of the sea. Emmy, realizing the grave situation her homeland faced with an unopposed Godzilla, rushed to the future aboard KIDS and convinced the scientists of her time to rebuild King Ghidorah as Mecha-King Ghidorah. KIDS docked aboard the newly created cyborg, allowing the monster not only the ability to time travel, but also giving Emmy and M11's digital brain a route of escape in case the situation became grim.

The cybernetic hydra returned to the past, where it clashed with Godzilla and dragged the beast out to sea. Mecha-King Ghidorah was badly damaged in the process, and Emmy and M11's brain were forced to use KIDS as a means of escape. With Godzilla tightly grasped by Mecha-King Ghidorah’s machine-hand restraint at the bottom of the sea, the evil plot of the Futurians was finally laid to rest. Emmy and M11, confident in their victory, returned to their own time in the distant future...
