Often confused for his older brother Masanobu Takashima, and for good reason. Beyond having remarkably similar looks Mashiro would reprise his brother's role of Sho Kuroki from Godzilla vs. Biollante (1989) in Godzilla vs. Destoroyah (1995). Masahiro Takashima is probably best known for his roles of Kazuma Aoki in Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla II (1993) and Yamato Takeru in the 1994 film of the same name. It should also be noted that Masahiro Takashima's father is none other than Tadao Takashima who played Osamu Sakurai in King Kong vs. Godzilla (1962), and photographer Susumu Hatanaka in Atragon (1963) among many other Toho films.
