Biography

Best known for her role as Azumi in Azumi (2003) and Azumi 2: Death or Love (2005), Aya Ueto, like most young actresses in Japan who are trained to be "idols", specializes in acting, singing and modeling. In 1997, Ueto won a "Judges' Special Choice" award at the All-Japan National Bishoujo Contest, which in turn landed her numerous TV commercial appearances and roles in various TV shows from 2000 to present.
